Technical Project Lead – Data Integration & Reporting
Blutic is looking for an Technical Project Lead – Data Integration & Reporting with 10+ yrs experience in designing, architecting, and overseeing the implementation of data solutions using SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, and Snowflake, while leading a team of 12–15 offshore developers and QA analysts. This role requires hands-on architecture expertise, the ability to modernize legacy systems (e.g., migrations to cloud/Snowflake), and leadership to drive productivity improvements in alignment with client goals.
This is a 100% long term remote opportunity. The candidate should be willing to work in 9 hrs shift anywhere between 11am-11pm IST with an overlap of 3-4 hrs on Pacific time zone.
Core Skills Required:
8+ years designing and implementing SSIS/SSRS solutions (large-scale ETL, data warehouses).
2+ years hands-on with Snowflake (architecture, SnowSQL, performance tuning).
Expert in SQL Server (query optimization, indexing, partitioning).
Experience with cloud migrations (Azure/AWS) and hybrid architectures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Architecture & Design
Design end-to-end data solutions: Architect scalable ETL frameworks, data warehouses, and reporting systems using SSIS, SSRS, and Snowflake.
Modernize legacy systems: Lead migrations from on-prem SQL Server to Snowflake/cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Define best practices: Establish coding standards, design patterns, and governance for ETL/reporting development.
Evaluate new technologies: Propose innovations (e.g., API integrations, automation tools) to enhance the client’s tech stack.
2. Technical Leadership & Delivery
Hands-on development: Review and optimize complex SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and Snowflake SQL for performance and maintainability.
Troubleshoot high-impact issues: Resolve architectural bottlenecks in data pipelines and reporting systems.
Mentor team members: Conduct technical deep-dives and pair programming sessions to uplift team skills.
3. Team Leadership
Manage offshore team performance: Set clear goals, conduct reviews, and ensure accountability for 12–15 developers/QA analysts.
Agile process ownership: Drive sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups with a focus on continuous improvement.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with onshore teams to align priorities and remove roadblocks.
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
Architecture reviews: Present design proposals to client SMEs and incorporate feedback.
Productivity tracking: Report on progress toward 5–10% annual efficiency gains (e.g., reduced runtime, cost savings).
Risk mitigation: Proactively flag technical debt or scalability challenges.
5. Compliance & Security
Design for security: Implement data masking, access controls, and audit trails in Snowflake/SQL Server.
Enforce standards: Ensure compliance with client’s VDI, MFA, and documentation requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Nice-to-Have:
API development (C#/.NET), Python for scripting.
Certifications: Snowflake Architect, Microsoft Data Platform, AWS/Azure Data.
Leadership & Soft Skills
Proven team leadership: 5+ years managing offshore teams (10+ members) with Agile/Scrum.
Client-facing skills: Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Innovation mindset: Track record of driving process improvements or cost savings.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
Experience in regulated industries (financial, healthcare) preferred.
