DevOps Engineer
Blutic is looking for a DevOps Engineer with 6 months to 1 year of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or cloud-related role (including significant academic or project experience). Candidate must have fundamental understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with at least one tool, preferably Jenkins.
The ideal candidate should have basic hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS (familiarity with core services like EC2, S3, IAM is a strong foundation).
You will work alongside development and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices, enhance system reliability, and drive our "Automate First" philosophy. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a cutting-edge tech stack and play a key role in our cloud transformation journey.
This is a hybrid work model. The candidates should be residing in Bangalore and be willing to work from the office three days a week.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipelines: Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and Concourse.
Artifact Management: Help manage software artifacts and dependencies through JFrog Artifactory.
Cloud Infrastructure: Support the management and deployment of resources on AWS, including EKS (Kubernetes), Lambda functions, Aurora databases, and DNS management via Route53.
Platform as a Service (PaaS): Gain exposure to and assist with platforms like VMware Tanzu and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
Monitoring & Observability: Help implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Prometheusand Grafana for metrics, and ELK/Kibana or Splunk for logging and analysis.
API Management: Support the team in managing and configuring APIs using the Apigee platform.
Security & Compliance: Assist in implementing security best practices using tools like AWS Secrets Manager for secret management and AWS Config for compliance auditing.
DevSecOps: Participate in integrating security tools and practices directly into the CI/CD pipeline.
Collaboration & Agile: Work within an Agile Scrumban framework to prioritize tasks, improve processes, and deliver value incrementally.
Automation: Champion the "Automate First" philosophy by writing scripts (e.g., Shell, Python, Groovy) to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6 months to 1 year of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or cloud-related role (including significant academic or project experience).
Fundamental understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with at least one tool, preferably Jenkins.
Basic hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS (familiarity with core services like EC2, S3, IAM is a strong foundation).
Understanding of containerization concepts (e.g., Docker) and familiarity with orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS).
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
A strong passion for automation, efficiency, and problem-solving.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a desire to work in a cross-functional, Agile environment.
A keen interest in learning new technologies and adopting a DevSecOps mindset.
Nice to Have (Training Provided)
Any exposure to VMware Tanzu, Frog Artifactory, Concourse, or Apigee.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
Knowledge of security tools like AWS Secrets Manager or AWS Config.
