Oracle Cloud DBA

Blutic is looking for a motivated Oracle Cloud DBA with 1+ yrs experience in database administration and a strong understanding of RDBMS concepts. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Oracle databases and basic exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred). This role involves maintaining database health, ensuring security, and supporting performance optimization.


This is a full time opportunity for Bengaluru location with 2-3 days work from office however candidates should be willing to go to work all day if required. The candidate should be willing to work in an 8 hrs shift and overlap 3-4 hrs in the US time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the overall health and performance of all databases proactively.

  • Administer Oracle databases, including Data Guard and RMAN for backup and recovery.

  • Develop and optimize SQL / PL/SQL scripts for database operations.

  • Apply software maintenance upgrades, security patches, and fixes.

  • Monitor backups regularly and coordinate with the backup team.

  • Manage users and space at both database and server levels.

  • Monitor Oracle physical standby and replicas; rebuild or re-sync when necessary.

  • Perform code deployments and support release activities.

  • Assist in migrating databases to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.


Optional / Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with AWS Cloud services (RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Service Catalog).

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL administration.

  • Familiarity with AWS security and compliance best practices.

  • Intermediate experience in Unix shell scripting or Python scripting.

  • Ability to analyze long-running queries and provide performance recommendations.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of RDBMS concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle database administration.

  • Basic knowledge of backup and recovery tools (RMAN).

  • Familiarity with SQL / PL/SQL development.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to learn cloud technologies and automation tools.
