Oracle Database Administrator
Blutic is looking for a Oracle Database Administrator with a minimum 7+ years experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance. The candidate should provide technical support to application development teams and assist with impact analysis of changes due to development, testing, and production usage.
This position will require on-call and weekend support on rotation basis for planned and unplanned activities.
The candidate should have supported 24x7 systems in a High-Availability environment.
This is a 100% remote opportunity. The candidate will need to work in PST timezone.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
Manage Oracle databases in Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
Perform database administration activities including backup, recovery, cloning, refreshes, migrations, and capacity planning.
Monitor database health, availability, storage utilization, and system performance.
Troubleshoot database issues related to performance, connectivity, locking, space management, and replication.
Support High Availability configurations including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
Implement and maintain database security standards, user management, roles, and privileges.
Provide support for database refreshes and environment cloning activities.
Work with application teams to analyze SQL queries and assist in performance optimization.
Coordinate and execute database patching and upgrade activities with minimal downtime.
Create and maintain database operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation activities.
Support automation and scripting for routine DBA activities.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and audit requirements.
Provide on-call support and participate in weekend maintenance activities on a rotational basis.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or later versions.
Expertise in:
Oracle RAC
Oracle Data Guard
Oracle ASM
RMAN Backup & Recovery
Oracle GoldenGate (preferred)
Experience with database patching, upgrades, migrations, and cloning.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
Experience in database performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
Familiarity with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) monitoring tools.
Experience supporting large-scale OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
Understanding of ITIL processes and production support models.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
