Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support Oracle database performance across development, QA, and production environments.

• Diagnose and resolve complex SQL and database performance bottlenecks.

• Drive SQL tuning and query optimization activities, providing recommendations.

• Analyze application workloads and recommend performance.

• Collaborate closely with application architects, developers, middleware, and infrastructure teams to improve end-to-end system performance

• Evaluate database architecture and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and operational efficiency

• Perform root cause analysis for critical production performance incidents and provide long-term resolution recommendation.  

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in Oracle RDBMS versions 19c, 12c, and 11gR2

• Advanced knowledge of Oracle performance tuning methodologies and internals

• Expertise in SQL tuning, execution plans, optimizer behaviour and I/O performance tuning.

• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) / Cloud Control

• Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting skills in UNIX/Linux environments

• Exposure to automation and monitoring tools for proactive performance management
