Oracle Database Administrator with MongoDB
Blutic is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator with MongoDB experience and a minimum of 7 years of experience in database administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and support within enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Oracle database technologies along with exposure to MongoDB and Linux-based environments while supporting mission-critical 24x7 systems in a High-Availability setup.
The candidate should have experience supporting Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment with strong troubleshooting and multitasking capabilities.
This position is 100% Remote which require on-call and weekend support on a rotational basis for planned and unplanned activities. Primary shift run 8am to 5pm PST.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
Manage Oracle databases across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
Perform database administration activities including backup, recovery, cloning, refreshes, migrations, and capacity planning.
Monitor database health, availability, storage utilization, and system performance.
Troubleshoot database issues related to performance, connectivity, locking, space management, replication, CPU, memory, and I/O bottlenecks.
Support High Availability configurations including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and GoldenGate.
Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
Implement and maintain database security standards, user management, roles, and privileges.
Provide support for database refreshes and environment cloning activities.
Work with application teams to analyze SQL queries and assist in performance optimization.
Coordinate and execute database patching and upgrade activities with minimal downtime.
Support and administer MongoDB environments including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
Support automation and scripting for routine DBA and operational activities using Shell scripting.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation activities.
Create and maintain database operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and audit requirements.
Contribute to operational process improvements and support best practices.
Work independently with minimal guidance while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Participate in on-call support and weekend maintenance activities on a rotational basis as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of Oracle & MongoDB DBA experience in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or later versions.
Expertise in:
Oracle RAC
Oracle Data Guard
Oracle ASM
RMAN Backup & Recovery
Oracle GoldenGate
Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
Experience with database patching, upgrades, migrations, and cloning.
Strong troubleshooting skills related to database and infrastructure performance.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
Python scripting knowledge is required.
Familiarity with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) monitoring tools.
Experience supporting large-scale OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
Understanding of ITIL processes and production support models.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in fast-paced production environments.
Strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills.
